Her infamous Grammy mispronunciation of “Bowie” aside, one thing Avril has always been is cool. She is a trend setter, not afraid of anything, or anyone. No one is safe from Avril when she goes on a tear. And that's not just in her spoken words, but also her musical lyrics. She talks about not going to give "it" up and how some ex threw away her perfect image and hope for the future.

Originally, Avril was not cool. She sang at country music festivals, in dire need of getting discovered by a top-notch record exec.
